Situated in a well established leafy area of the Wirral the Raffe residence is a detached home of strong character with echoes of arts and crafts within. The challenge was to extend and reorganise a relatively modest kitchen and dining space in what is an otherwise generous home.
The strong forms of the existing house created a contextual extension that allows occupants to experience the full volume of internal areas. Finishes and colours were carefully chosen to bring the garden into the space both literally and figuratively.
