Following on the success of Snook's new dining room for St Edwards, the college asked for a new break out space for sixth form students to study, eat and relax between classes. The refurbishment kept many of the original features of the old boardroom while graffiti art added a much-needed splash of colour and vibrancy to the space.
A new service counter is wrapped in mosaic tiles, deference to St Edward [patron saint of the school]. The rich materiality was enhanced through a blend of up cycled materials and carefully selected furnishings - all set in a previously abandoned beautiful historic hall.
