Ma Boyle’s

Liverpool [2015]

Ma Boyle’s is an alehouse and eatery, nestled to the rear of tower building, behind St Nicholas church in Liverpool’s commercial district. The new owner was keen to bring reinvigorate the historic pub, which was in relative disrepair and had became unfashionable. To achieve this; the venue has been completely renovated including a new outdoor seating area.

The warm materiality of the bar comes from the exposed natural finishes of the walls and floor coupled with the hue of the copper ceiling tiles. Careful consideration was given to restoration of the interior to retain the historic character of the pub.
